To provide a service to become the DPO for the school.

Only information sourced from the Information Commissioner Office (ICO), will be used by the company to ensure that the school is compliant with the UK Data Protection regulations.

Under the proposal of becoming the Data Protection Officer (DPO) for the school, the company will;

• Assist school in creating their personal data ecosystem (data audit)

• Ensure that the school become compliant with GDPR regarding policies, Privacy notices etc

• Work with the school to resolve Subject Access Requests (SAR’s) and data breaches.

• Advice given to the school regarding data protection related issues.

• Basic Data Awareness Training for staff.

• Termly report to board of Governors regarding data protection compliance.

Please be aware that if your school signs up to Chapman Data & Information Services to act as your DPO the school will be expected to follow our procedures in relation to Data Breaches and Subject Access requests, if the school want the company to be involved.

The school as Data Controller can keep current Policies and Audits. However, if the school chooses to do this then Chapman Data & Information will not comment, review, amend or be held accountable. It would be the responsibility of the school to ensure that these policies and audits are correct. We recommend that the school use our data protection policy and audit templates.
